My Community Depends on Water

Our San Joaquin Valley communities have a right to have sufficient, safe, reliable and affordable water for personal and domestic use as well as a thriving, sustainable agricultural economy.

In the San Joaquin Valley, most unincorporated communities are 100% reliant on groundwater sources that are often contaminated.

For decades, groundwater levels have decreased due to climate change, overuse, and increased reliance on groundwater during drought periods. Groundwater is extremely important because we rely on it for many different uses, including drinking water, watering crops, and supporting wildlife and natural habitats.
